Celebrate the spirit, songs and stories of John Denver. World-renowned singer and entertainer Jim Curry returns to Sedona by popular demand with his live show and concert “The Music of John Denver”. There will be two performances on Saturday, Jan. 19 on the Goldenstein Stage at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Admission: All tickets $20 in advance; $25 at the door. Time: 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Contract Ratio:  28.00. The average over the last year is 37.30. 
The Average Price per Square Foot of homes that are Under Contract was $342.47 per square foot. The yearly moving average is $317.79 per square foot. For those homes that Closed Escrow this week, the yearly moving average was $247.71 per square foot.
US Government Bond Yields rose nearly all week as trade and other news pushed the fear of recession further into the background. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note was around 2.79%, and the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was around 3.10%. The change in sentiment also inspired investors in the Stock Market, as the Dow rose 336.25 points. This closed out the first four week improvement since August.
John Williams, a voting member of the policymaking Federal Open Market Committee, and president of the central bank’s New York region, suggested that the the Federal Reserve should be more cautious about increasing interest rates further. This was in line with recent calls from other Fed officials that suggest there should be a more moderate approach to rate increases in 2019. There were four quarter-point increases in 2018.
